Born on April 23, 1996 in Cervera (Lérida), Alex Márquez has lived surrounded by motorcycles from day one and soon found himself fascinated by everything related to the world of two wheels. As a child he said he wanted to be his brother Marc’s mechanic, but it didn’t take him long to realize that he also wanted to grab the handlebars and squeeze the throttle to the maximum.

At the age of eight, Alex had already begun to compete and fight for victory in the 50cc PromoRacc and followed it up with the Catalan Championship title. He progressively burned stages until making his debut in 2010 in the Spanish Speed Championship. In 2012 he managed to become 125cc Spanish Champion in the CEV and in 2013 he already disputed his first full World Championship in Moto3.
From here, the story of Alex Marquez is well known. Two-time World Champion with the Moto3 Titles in 2014 and Moto2 in 2019. At the end of 2019 he joined the Repsol Honda Team alongside his brother Marc Marquez as teammate to contest the 2020 season. In 2021 and 2022, Alex continued as a Honda rider in MotoGP with the LCR Honda Team. In 2023, Alex makes his debut on a Ducati with the Italian Gresini Racing Team and faces a key year in his career.
